Cubeys Labyrinth

An interactive installation for the lobby of FFT Düsseldorf, designed for children to play while waiting for a show. Seven large 1x1m cubes, each packed with sensors detecting rotation, movement, and proximity to one another, become the controllers. To move a character through a maze displayed on the cube's screen, you push the cube forward. To turn, you rotate it. Multiple children can play together, each navigating their own cube through the labyrinth.

The result is a game that is entirely physical, where the controller and the screen are the same object, and the play spills out naturally into the space around it.

Built in Unity. Developed during a two-week residency at FFT Düsseldorf and now a permanent installation.
