GoetheVRSum

A multiplayer virtual environment developed with the Goethe-Institut, built entirely in Spatial.io with all 3D environments and characters hand-crafted in the Bauhaus style. Accessible via VR headset or browser, the platform brings together language learning, cultural exchange, and community in a shared virtual space.

Visitors explore Bauhaus-inspired worlds through personalised avatars, joining language tandem sessions in virtual coffee rooms, playing games alone or with others, and attending live events hosted directly within the platform. The platform has also been used for virtual exhibitions, artist talks, and community gatherings, connecting people across borders where physical meeting isn't possible.

Built and maintained on Spatial.io, with a custom onboarding experience designed to ease first-time users into the virtual environment.
